Authored AP2 (Agent Payments Protocol) and the A2A protocol.

Protocol & Standards AP2A2A

What Google builds for agent payments

AP2 is not a settlement rail — it is the “permission slip” layer. A user (or policy engine) issues a mandate: this agent may spend up to X on Y. Merchants and wallets can verify that mandate before accepting payment.

A2A handles how agents talk to each other. Pair AP2 authorization with x402 (or card) settlement and you get a full agent commerce stack: who may pay, how they message, and how money moves.
